The experience provided by Buckit! Just Live Courageously is a charitable gift made possible by donors, sponsors, and volunteers. It is not a commercial travel arrangement and carries no retail value or transferable rights.
Buckit! Just Live Courageously coordinates experiences in good faith using third-party vendors including, but not limited to, airlines, lodging providers, rental car companies, peer-to-peer vehicle providers, and activity providers.
By accepting an experience, the Recipient agrees to:
These expectations allow Buckit! Just Live Courageously to honor donor generosity and continue funding future experiences
Buckit! Just Live Courageously shares stories to inspire hope and sustain funding for future experiences.
The Recipient acknowledges and agrees:
Travel and activities may involve inherent risks including transportation incidents, weather events, illness, injury, vendor cancellations, or delays.
The Recipient voluntarily assumes all risks associated with participation in the experience.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Recipient releases and holds harmless Buckit! Just Live Courageously, its directors, officers, volunteers, sponsors, and partners from any claims, damages, losses, or liabilities arising from participation in the experience, including those caused by third-party vendors.
I acknowledge that I am responsible for ensuring I am medically able to participate in the travel and activities associated with this Buckit experience. I have discussed my travel plans with my healthcare provider, when appropriate, and I believe I am medically fit to participate.
I understand that if my medical condition changes before or during the experience, I am responsible for notifying Buckit! Just Live Courageously as soon as reasonably possible.
I understand that cancer and its treatment can be unpredictable. If my medical condition changes before or during the experience, Buckit! Just Live Courageously will make reasonable efforts to assist with alternative arrangements when possible. However, Buckit cannot guarantee changes to airline reservations, lodging, transportation, activities, itineraries, or other travel arrangements.
If, after travel arrangements have been confirmed, my medical condition changes and I require additional assistance—including but not limited to a medical escort, caregiver escort, upgraded seating, wheelchair services beyond those normally provided by travel providers, specialized transportation, emergency transportation, additional lodging, or other medically necessary travel accommodations—I understand that these expenses are not the financial responsibility of Buckit! Just Live Courageously.
Buckit will make reasonable efforts to assist by coordinating resources, requesting donated or discounted services, or identifying alternative solutions whenever possible; however, such accommodations or funding cannot be guaranteed.
I understand that Buckit! Just Live Courageously does not provide medical care, medical transportation, medical escort services, travel insurance, or health insurance. I remain solely responsible for all medical care and any related medical or travel expenses incurred before, during, or after my Buckit experience.
The safety and well-being of our recipients are our highest priority. If Buckit! Just Live Courageously reasonably believes that a participant's medical condition creates a significant safety concern or that the planned experience can no longer be safely completed, Buckit reserves the right to postpone, modify, or cancel the experience after consultation with the participant and, when appropriate, the participant's healthcare provider.
Whenever possible, Buckit will work collaboratively with the participant to identify alternative arrangements consistent with the organization's mission and available resources.
Buckit! Just Live Courageously may cover specific agreed-upon expenses only.
The Recipient remains responsible for:
If the experience includes vacation rentals, hotels, rental vehicles, or peer-to-peer vehicle rentals, the Recipient agrees to comply with all provider terms and policies.
The Recipient is responsible for damages, violations, tickets, tolls, fees, and other charges resulting from their use of the property or vehicle.
If Buckit! Just Live Courageously is charged for damages or violations attributable to the Recipient or accompanying guests, the Recipient agrees to reimburse the Organization within thirty (30) days of written notice.
The Recipient agrees to conduct themselves and accompanying guests respectfully and lawfully throughout the experience.
Buckit! Just Live Courageously reserves the right to modify arrangements due to vendor availability, weather, safety concerns, or unforeseen circumstances.
The Organization shall not be liable for delays or cancellations resulting from events beyond its control, including natural disasters, government restrictions, public health emergencies, or vendor insolvency.
If minors participate or appear in submitted photos, the undersigned affirms they are the legal parent or guardian and have authority to grant consent.
Minor children remain under the supervision and responsibility of their parent or guardian at all times.
No full names or medical details of minors will be published. First name only is standard practice. Face blurring is available upon request.
