Participation Agreement

By accepting an experience, the Recipient agrees to:

• Participate in a post-experience reflection
• Submit a minimum of five (5) photos following the experience
• Conduct themselves respectfully toward vendors, partners, and volunteers
• Provide accurate personal and travel information
• Communicate promptly regarding scheduling and logistics

These expectations allow Buckit Just Live Courageously to honor donor generosity and continue funding future experiences.

Buckit Just Live Courageously shares stories to inspire hope and sustain funding for future experiences.

The Recipient acknowledges and agrees:

• Full names will not be published
• Medical details will not be shared
• The only public context shared is that the Recipient is an adult living with non-curable cancer
• First name only is standard practice
• Submitted photos and written reflections may be used for website, social media, print materials, grant reporting, and donor communications

Face blurring is available upon request.

To honor donor generosity, the Recipient agrees to submit at least five (5) meaningful photos following the experience.

Travel and activities may involve inherent risks including transportation incidents, weather events, illness, injury, vendor cancellations, or delays.

The Recipient voluntarily assumes all risks associated with participation in the experience.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Recipient releases and holds harmless Buckit Just Live Courageously, its directors, officers, volunteers, sponsors, and partners from any claims, damages, losses, or liabilities arising from participation in the experience, including those caused by third-party vendors.

Buckit Just Live Courageously may cover specific agreed-upon expenses only.

The Recipient is responsible for incidental charges, upgrades, personal purchases, optional add-ons, valid identification, required travel documentation, and travel insurance unless otherwise specified.

If the experience includes vacation rentals, hotels, rental vehicles, or peer-to-peer vehicle rentals, the Recipient agrees to comply with all provider terms and policies.

The Recipient is responsible for:

• Property or vehicle damage
• Cleaning or smoking violations
• Pet violations
• Excess guest fees
• Parking tickets or toll charges
• Traffic violations
• Late return fees
• Fuel charges
• Mileage overages
• Any penalties resulting from failure to comply with provider rules

If Buckit Just Live Courageously is charged for damages or violations attributable to the Recipient or accompanying guests, the Recipient agrees to reimburse the Organization within thirty (30) days of written notice.

Buckit Just Live Courageously may adjust itineraries due to vendor availability, weather, safety concerns, or unforeseen circumstances.

The Recipient agrees to conduct themselves and accompanying guests respectfully and lawfully throughout the experience.

Buckit Just Live Courageously reserves the right to terminate arrangements if behavior places vendors or the Organization at risk.

Buckit Just Live Courageously shall not be liable for delays or cancellations due to events beyond its control, including natural disasters, government restrictions, public health emergencies, or vendor insolvency.

The Recipient agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Buckit Just Live Courageously from claims arising from personal conduct during the experience.

If minors participate or appear in submitted photos, the undersigned affirms they are the legal parent or guardian and have authority to grant consent.

Minor children remain under the supervision and responsibility of their parent or guardian at all times. Buckit Just Live Courageously does not assume supervisory responsibility.

No full names or medical details of minors will be published. First name only (if used) is standard practice. Face blurring is available upon request.

This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Missouri.

Any disputes shall be brought exclusively in a court located in the State of Missouri.

By signing below, the Recipient affirms they have read, understood, and agree to this Agreement and have authority to enter into it on behalf of themselves and any minor participants.
